The CEO Golfers care about initiatives with charitable aim. The objective of the CEO Golfers World Challenge 2010 is to collect funds to benefit the Fondazione Legato Dino Ferrari, Sezione “Enzo e Dino Ferrari” of Modena, which for the past thirty years has been engaged in supporting research into the treatment of Muscular Dystrophy.

The Fondazione Legato Dino Ferrari was originally set up by Enzo Ferrari in memory of his son Dino who died in 1956 of a serious form of muscular dystrophy. As a charitable body, its aim is to promote research into the diagnosis and genetics of Muscular Dystrophy and to support initiatives for assistance to persons suffering from this disease. The foundation is the concrete expression of Enzo Ferrari’s desire to fight a terrible disease and ultimately to find an effective treatment. His commitment continues today, thanks also to the tenacious and ongoing presence of his son Piero Ferrari.

In the healthcare field it is active in family genetic counseling, in treatment of respiratory failure and in physiotherapy targeted on maintenance of functional abilities. In the social-welfare field it devotes itself to assistance of dystrophic and their families in order to promote self-sufficiency and to favor the social integration of the disabled also in cooperation with public institutions.
